Graphic Design
Role: Instructional Designer & Developer
Tools: Articulate Storyline 360, Canva
Audience: Welcome Desk volunteers hosting community events at a church on evenings and weekends. To meet the need for foundational training, the course features scenario-based practice, clear visual heirarchy, and accessibility elements.
💡 The Challenge
The current training model includes self-guided reading and peer shadowing, creating a broad disparity in capability and practice across volunteers. As a result, volunteers lack confidence and consistency in hosting community events after hours, which creates risks for security and hospitality.

🛠 Design & Development Highlights
Instructional Strategy: Scenario-based learning, Gamification
Technical Mechanics: Triggers, state changes, consequence-based branching, granular layered feedback, screen reader accessibility
📈 Impact & Reflection
Feedback/Outcome: 95% positive feedback during SME review
Key Takeaway: I developed a responsive UI on Slide 2.7 by combining object states, triggers, and a custom button set to give the learner control over the pace of information delivery and reduce cognitive load.
